It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of Macaroni, the guinea pig, on Saturday, September 22nd. Our Battle of the Books team kicked butt this past Saturday, tying for 5th of 14 teams. Their first battle was lost with a tie breaker, but they came back to win the entire consolation round! After more than seven years, the Pumpkins have now come out with an album of new work. Zeitgeist, released July 10th, is receiving mixed reviews. Most reviewers have recommended it, with the side note that it is not their strongest work. Only time will tell if this is a new beginning for the band, or just the final hoorah.

The long process should start next month and hopefully wrap up before we ring in 2007.
