Teen Read Week

Now in its ninth year, TRW is a national literacy initiative that encourages teens to read for the fun of it. This year's theme also encourages the use of local libraries to lead an active life--whether it be in school, sports, your community--the choice is up to you.

All teens, guys and girls, are asked to complete the survey at http://www.SmartGirl.org/surveys/5853570.html. The site is a bit girly, but they specifically ask for guy input. All surveys must be completed by October 31st. Let librarians know what you want.

In addition, EBSCO, a large library database company, has established a teen site located at http://www.ebscohost.com/flashPromo/main1.html which includes quizzes, recommended reads, and links.
