National Library Week

This week, April 3-8 is National Library Week. In celebration, the Town of Esopus Library has scheduled several events.

Food for Fines: During the month of April you may bring in non-perishable food items to wipe out your fines. This does not apply to replacement fees.

National Library Workers Day: This Wednesday, Board of Trustee members will be working the desk to give our dedicated staff a break. Come in to show them your support!

Narnia, On the Big Screen: Friday at 7pm at the Town Hall we will be showing the new Chronicles of Narnia movie. Popcorn & admission are free. Bottled water and soda will be for sale, or feel free to bring your own. Seating is limited so it would be a good idea to bring a folding lawn chair or blanket.

The Weapon Within, Part 2: Women who are interested in learning more about self-defense are invited to Keith Bennett's Karate Academy (53 Albany Avenue, Kingston) this Saturday from 2-3:30pm. The cost of the program is $10 and we ask that you register directly with the studio 845-331-0009.

Survey: A resident survey is available on our webpage or at the Desk. Its main purpose it to find out what the community wants in the new library. There will be a separate Teen Room, so your comments are needed and welcome.
