New Library!!

Well, after many years and a few failed attempts, the Town of Esopus Library will be starting construction of a new building. The long process should start next month and hopefully wrap up before we ring in 2007. The new location will be more than 3 times the size of the current building and include 8 public computers and a teen room. Lots of help will be needed later in the year, so stay posted for opportunities to volunteer.

Little Known Facts

If you count the number of chirps a cricket makes in 15 seconds, and then add 37 to that number, the sum equals the surrounding air temperature.

The Guinness Book of World Records is the most frequently stolen book from public libraries (please don't try it).
